Upgrading, downgrading and cancelling

Switch plans in minutes — and know exactly what happens to your forms and data (short version: nothing bad).

Last updated July 7, 2026

Everything starts at Settings → Plan:

  • Upgrade from Free — choose a plan, pay by card, features unlock immediately.
  • Switch between paid plans (or monthly ↔ yearly) — via Manage subscription, which opens your secure billing portal. Differences are prorated fairly and automatically.
  • Cancel — also in the billing portal. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you've paid for, then continue on Free automatically.

What downgrading means for your content — the honest rules:

  • Nothing is deleted, ever. All forms, responses and files stay, readable and exportable.
  • Published forms keep collecting responses, even if they use features your new plan lacks.
  • What's restricted is new activity: you can't publish new changes to a form using now-unavailable features (the publish check tells you exactly what), and new forms/responses follow the new plan's limits.
  • If you're over the new plan's storage or form count, existing content simply stays — you just can't add more until you're back under the limit.

Note

Deleting your account is a separate, stronger action with its own rules — see the Deleting your data article. Cancelling a subscription never touches your data.
