Your inbox: unread, filters and reading
How the Submissions inbox works — unread markers, filters, and reading encrypted responses.
Last updated July 7, 2026
You have two inbox views: per form (the form's Submissions tab) and all forms together (Submissions in the main navigation — with a form column and form filter).
- Unread — new responses carry a dot and bold marking. A response counts as read only after you've successfully opened (decrypted) it.
- Filter tabs — All / Unread / Tagged / Untagged, each with live counts.
- Tag filter — show responses carrying any of the selected tags, or all of them (article 5.2).
- Sort — newest or oldest first. Long lists load in pages of 100 (Load more).
Opening a row shows the full response in a side panel: every answer in question order, files with preview, plus small factual chips — when it arrived, how long the person took, how many questions they answered, and (for translated forms) which language they used.
Note
There is no text search across response content — and there can't be: your responses are stored encrypted, so the server has nothing to search. Tags are the intended way to find things again — tag as you read (it takes a second and pays off for months).
