Protecting a form with unlock codes
Only people with a valid code can open the form — one shared code or up to 100 individual ones. (Pro)

Enable Unlock codes in Settings → Advanced and your form shows a code prompt instead of its questions. The questions aren't just hidden — they're not delivered to the browser at all until a valid code is entered.
Two ways to use it:
- One shared code — give the same code to your group ("course participants only").
- Individual codes — add up to 100 codes and hand each person their own; useful when access should be revocable per person (just delete their code).
Codes are up to 50 characters and case-sensitive. The built-in generator creates strong, readable codes for you — or type your own.
Warning
An unlock code controls access to the form — it is not a respondent identity. Anyone with a valid code can submit; if you need to know who answered, add a name/e-mail question.
Note
Current limitation: on forms with unlock codes, automatic translation isn't offered after unlock — the form appears in its original language.
